Create a unique patchwork stocking using beautiful interior fabrics with designer Georgia Bosson

In this fun, festive workshop, you will work directly on a beautiful stocking to create your own unique appliquéd design. You will learn three different ways to appliqué cloth patches and combine them to create a beautiful design on your stocking.

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the techniques and get you started on your quilting journey. As we will be working with hand embroidery techniques, you may not complete your stocking design during the session. However, you will acquire all the skills you need to complete the project at home and will be able to take home any supplies you might need to complete your stocking before the big day.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience looking to learn some new techniques. It would also be perfect for those who have attended the introductory appliqué workshop and would like to explore the process further.

About your host

Georgia Bosson is the creative director of her eponymous design studio, which specialises in bespoke textiles for buildings. Georgia has worked with Neptune since 2020 and, in this time, has created five unique quilts in remnant fabrics inspired by the coastal landscape which surrounds Chichester.

Georgia studied embroidery in Manchester and set up her London studio in 2013, her quilted pieces are seen as large scale textile drawings, scaled up from gouache paintings with sashiko embroidery used to add depth and texture to the bold patchwork designs.
