This is a bespoke patchwork curtain for a bedroom. It is patchworked from a collection of dead stock wool, linen, and velvet fabrics. It has been left unlined, and the seams have been bound with a contrast binding.

The curtain is visible from a courtyard, so it was important to make it double-sided. As the bedroom already featured a blackout blind, we could play with having this curtain as a gentle sheer curtain, softening the light and warming up the space.

The visible seams make the curtain feel like a drawing with the pencil lines not quite erased, they add definition and structure to the soft curves of the piece.
