Natural dyeing workshop

Natural dyeing workshop

*17th November 2018*

Use fresh and dried flowers to naturally dye silk in this eco–conscious workshop with designer Georgia Bosson.

This workshop forms part of a special edition of events for the Festive Makers House event at Blue Shop Cottage.

Learn how to dye silk with bundle dying using only natural flora. Getting in the festive spirit, we'll be using a eucalyptus and other seasonal plants along with a selection of carefully dried flowers from the summer.

Create a unique length delicate silk that can be used to make  a scarf, pillowcase, lavender bags or even beautiful Japanese style Furoshiki gift wrapping for a really unique spin on Christmas!

You will leave with the knowledge and skills required to make your own bundle–dyed items, using simple equipment which can be found in your kitchen.
